Default Degenerate alcoholic tendencies or standard?

Stayed up all night watching the polls come in for the House and Senate. About 8 AM I decided to go out and get breakfast. After that (9:30 or so), noticed that my neighborhood bar was open. Decided to stop in and watch CNN (no cable at home). WTF is there to do in a bar but drink? This is my first time drinking <12:00PM; is this degenerate alcoholic behavior or not? Does it make any difference at all that I stayed up all night?

Anything but standard, but not degenerate either.

This is totally fine.

If you start drinking in the wee morning hours like 3-4 days a week, report back. You are then likely to be a degenerate.

I'm guessing if you are worried about your drinking then it's a problem.

Not exactly standard but it's not like you went to the bar after just waking up either. You pulled an all-nighter then had a drink. Big deal. I don't think you're ready to start attending AA meetings just yet.

Was the all-nighter aided by blow? If so you're fine drinking early in the morning to take the edge off.

If you literally stayed up the entire night watching the polls come in, sans blow, I don't think that is something one morning of drinking can fix.

Standard. All-niter distorts your body clock and makes you feel drunk anyways...

I'd be more concerned about staying up all night to watch polls.

Lol

Drinking in the morning is perfectly acceptable if you work the night shift or are camping.
