About the opponents:
SB: 44/11/1.2 over 100H. He calls a lot of steal-raises in SB. Also he got some bluff changes on the river which he checked behind. He seems straightforward. BTN: 45/15/1.8 over 140H. his ASB = 11 out of 37 I'm not certain about all the streets I played here, so lets just start with pre-flop and hopefully it will be the beginning of an interesting discussion. Limit: $2/$4 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero ?? (other streets will follow) |

call or raise doesnt matter much, id prolly 3bet w/ loose sb in there increases likely equity edge. button isnt a habitual stealer which leads me to maybe just call but 3betting gets more info and maybe the initiative for us

your position kind of sucks for this hand, just call and reevaluate the turn.

I tend to call here. there are a lot of flops I want to get away cheaply from. A raise isn't bad though.

Meh this pf spot has been discussed at lenght. Most say their cut off for 3balla is 99. TT is def raise. 99 is def for me, 88 is close. IMO neither is a mistake, just don't fold.

prock 3-bets 33 but maybe the difference between 88 and 33 in this spot is that with 33 the 3-bet is a raise that just wins a small fraction of your initial (0.25) back, and with 88 you're actually going to be able to put some bets in postflop occassionally.
so, i don't know. |

I 3-bet. Button steals frequently enough, so we are probably about even/slightly ahead of his range. You are only behind 99+, and way ahead of hands like A2-A8, K7, smaller pairs, etc. Same deal for the loose SB.
Also, both players may note you are 3-betting into two opponents, which may cause them to over-estimate your strength & therefore misplay their hands post-flop. |

I decided to just call the hand.
Reading the replies, I mostly agree with raze his reply but calling and raising are probably about the same when it comes to EV. how about the flop?
