($27) 52s makes flush on bubble, facing min-raise...

Hero (t2625) UTG (t8715) Button (t1070) SB (t1090) Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls t200, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (t600) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero bets t400, UTG raises to t800, SB folds, Hero... UTG was extremely loose, playing something like 64/8. This was the first time I played with him, so no other reads. What's my play for the rest of the hand? |

Re: ($27) 52s makes flush on bubble, facing min-raise...
I shove the flop. His line is usually top pair good diamond kicker, sometimes a naked diamond, sometimes top pair no diamond, two pair, and sets. You are between 75 and 82% against this range. Worst case scenario is he has top pair good diamond kicker and it is still +EV to shove there although it is only .002% of the prizepool. Things get considerably better as you add other crap to his range.

[/ QUOTE ] Call flop raise, push/call for all your chips on turn with any non diamond. If diamond comes consider folding(unless its 4 of diamonds, of course). You'd still have 1600 chips, 2nd in chips. |

Normally I think its a push, especially against such a LAGGY player, but chip position here and the likely hood that you will finish ITM if you dont go busto this hand.... This is how I played it. Curious what the rest have to say. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: ($27) 52s makes flush on bubble, facing min-raise...
He wasn't that LAGgy, he just limped a lot pre-flop. I didn't have any read on his flop/turn/river aggression levels - nothing terribly out of the ordinary there.

I would just shove the flop. Yeah, he hits the diamond every now and then but it's better to get it now than say a diamond hit and for him to bluff you off when he doesn't even have one.

In this case, he had 97s for a better flush. I was going to lose all my chips here regardless. I just wanted to know which line was best here.

I generally just try to hit the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] if he has a higher flush |
