Default flop decision

new to nl, just dicking around playing $600 nl on eurobet.

been at the table for about half an hour, haven't done much, mostly because I've been card dead. reraising a steal from the sb was about the only thing I've done so far. game is 10 handed.

relevant stack sizes:

hero - 596
EP - 751 -- unknown
MP - 428 -- seems solid
BB - 595 -- LAGtard - like to bluff big at river scares

I limp utg with 88, 1 fold, unknown EP limps, MP raises somewhere to 25, folded to BB who calls, I call, EP calls.

flop is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (100)

bb checks, what's the plan?

Its hard to answer since a lot depends on how tight MPs range is, and how likely he is to raise you. Also depends what he thinks of you.

As default, I'd go with $60. Sometimes $90 though. Sometimes check.

99+, AJs+, maybe KQs. probably sees me as tight/unknown.

I bet $65 but that was really just a number I pulled out of my ass. why would I want to almost pot it?

If he doesn't respect you much, EP is loose player, and he has good overpair, its going to be nearly impossible for him to not push all in vs your two weak hands.

If you are vieved as tight, I probably lean towards bet more or go for cr since there is a good chance they will put you on a good hand and fish for tricky gutshots.
