10-25 5 handed at foxwoods must move game. I'm playing average lag for 5 handed and showing down no hands.

BB (6k)

Folded to me on button i make it 75 with 45s BB calls

flop is 367 rainbow (none my suit)

BB leads 125, i call

turn 8s putting 2 spades out there

BB leads 250, i raise to 900, BB calls

river Ah

BB checks, i bet 1300

after this hand i thought my river bet was off and i should have bet either ~800 or ~2k, anyone have a good read on villian here? i'm witholding mine

FE,

Raise the flop. Or pop n' lock it, if that means raise.

el d,

that is the west coast 21yr old slang for 'raise the flop'.

if you need more help w/ west coast slang, you know where to find me online, just as long as you dont make fun of my non-explicit wording of questions.

Is villain the type to lead/fold to a raise or lead to lead/3bet. I would probably raise it up on the flop in hopes that he plays his 2 pair/pair+guttie hard.

Also, with your image I can't see how a raise isn't profitable.

The past 4 or 5 hands heads up with villian really matter. You say you've shown down no hands. If you've bet him off, esp. after raising prefop, then putting alot of gas on the flop is the right move. If, in the past few hands you had shown down some solid winners, often calling the flop might be better.

Still, it seems unlikely you are calling the flop with a hand weaker than an overpair, so you are really not gaining much deception. He may be willing to pay you off with a pair figuring you for big cards (people LOVE to do this) if you raise the flop and pound a blank turn, or even check the turn behind and bet huge on the river.
