I'd checkraise the river if he has a big stack and you know that you're going to play this table for a while.
You're going to play a lot of hands with him and I think it is important to let the player behind you know that a check is not always a check on the river. If this was the last hand I ever played I would bet the river like you did. |

This is fine. No reads, going for a river c/r is bad. This guy is calling you with a 7 so let him.

This gets checked through way too often against an unknown to C/R river.

This is fine. If you check, he would be an idiot to bet anything other than a 6 or J holding, and he probably folds to a raise anyway.
