I haven't done it since the new room, but it was definatly standard in the old room.

I don't have a problem if the donkeys have to wait a little longer to donate all their monies.

Today was unbelievable because of the $1200 no limit tournament. I signed up at 11 AM for $20/$40, $10/20, and $1/2 no limit.
I was called in two hours and 15 minutes for $1/2
Three hours and 15 minutes for $20/$40 and
Six hours (no exaggeration, I was called at 5PM) for $10/$20

In fact, I can't understand why any cash game player would have wanted to be there in the midst of that chaos.

[/ QUOTE ]

Because my wife was out of town :-)

Today was much less chaotic.

Casinos have tricks/preferential treatment for those in the know/regulars all the time. They don't advertise it, and there's no way to find out unless you hang out more. I don't really have a problem with them rewarding the regulars who contribute more to them in the long run.

In vegas, big namers get stuff all the time for no reason from the casino, including calls like "you should come down to this game, it's super juicy."

Besides, I think a bunch of people have already said you can't do it anymore with the new system. If that's how it is, that's how it is.

Wait, wait, are you really implying that the fact that you regularly go to Foxwoods should entitle you to shorter wait times than recreational gamblers?

Regardless, pretending to be someone else when a name is called is a little different from getting perks from a casino, IMO.

That said, big weekend for the Deacs coming up in Talahassee. Should be a good game.

I don't actually, I go maybe at most once every other month on average. Definatly not since August 15th (I'm a 1L).

Yet I figured out the "trick" years ago one of the first times I went.

Again, I think in basically every business repeat customers get perks. Casinos are HUGE about that (comped rooms teh more you go and/or the higher limits you play etc), I don't really see how this is that much different.

Also, recreational players don't know the difference.

It should be. The Deacons will have every oppurtunity to make up for last week and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory about halfway through the 4th quarter to make up for last week. As they usually do. Mark. My. Words.

Also, BC is at least 0/3, possibly 0/4 now (I can't remember) at Wake.

I'll be down this Wednesday. Heading early so I can get signed up prior to 9am for cash games.

Got a 2 bed suite at Two Trees for the night, plus it has a pull-out couch. If anyone else is in need of a place to crash after playing poker for 18 hours, please lemme know and we can meetup and split costs.

Here is a different plan that has worked, and you don't have to steal someones name.

Foxwoods allows "reseats" to any player who is at a table. You get 2 hours (usually to eat) and then when you come back they put you 2nd on the list. So all you have to do is go to the desk, say "i would like to sign out for a reseat" they ask what game you were playing and you say whatever game you want to get into. (I usually get some chips from the cage to make it look like i just left a table). Then you leave for 20 minutes, come back and check back in, then you are 2nd on the list.

It is still soooo possible to do this even with the "new system." If they ask for your wampum card to verify your initials, you just say "I don't have a Wampum card." There is no requirement that you hold one to play.
