TV Question
Any tips on a TV for a dorm room? Doesnt have to be HD Ready, but looking for flat screen, and as light as possible, between 19-25 inches.
My friend is asking for help and all I am seeing is HDTV's and they run at a minimum $400. We'd like to keep it under 300 if possible. Any suggestions? |

Re: TV Question
Go to walmart or something, they have tons of cheap ones that will meet your criteria.

Re: TV Question
Try Wal-Mart or check your sunday paper for ones on sale at best buy/circuit city. Avoid RCA though, in my experience they have been awful.

Re: TV Question
27" LCD TV seems to be a logical choice in my opinion. Its not too big or too small, and doesnt take up too much room in the dorm room. I'm probably buying one for my room around x-mas time. As for HDTV, unless you plan on getting HD cable (which is not an option in most dorms) then dont worry about it. I have HD cable in my APT for my 52" HDTV, and plan to get an HD LCD for the room, but if I was in the dorms, it seems like HDTV would be a waste. On top of that, the new standard in HDTV is 1080p as opposed to 1080i and unless you plan to spend a lot of money, 1080p is not a logical choice.
