On the turn it's 5:1, river alone is 10.5:1.

What? You still need 10:1 to peel the flop with 4 outs. This makes no sense.

Or is it, 3 bets to me, that makes about 30 BB in the pot. Hrmmmm...

[/ QUOTE ]

Um, it's 2 bets to you in a ~26BB pot.

Damn.... need better glasses. On the turn it's 5:1, river alone is 10.5:1. (Yeah, I have to look up odds for these things, my auto pilot doesn't remember numbers anymore).

OK, no odds, fold it there and move on. Thank you, question answered.

I count 27:2 on the turn the second time around and it may get capped behind you. River implied odds may make it close, but I think this should be a fold. And you need to learn how to apply your odds and how to count bets.

If button doesn't cap you're getting about 2/28. If he does you're getting about 3/33 (I assume no one is folding given the action so far). The only hands tainting your outs are JJ, TT, Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Given that you called the first turn bet I think you have to call the raise and reraise back to you, much as it sucks.

the pot is so big that you just have to call. whatever, just fold the river ui for like 50:1 with top two pair because obviously someone has a straight 100% of the tmie

well miles it's easy for anyone to just make stuff up and then refute it because it's made up i'm not one for finding big folds at all; i probably call down too much, but it really looks like we're beat is all i'm saying and it does seem like the odds aren't quite there for calling...although i did fold a big draw at the casino the other day b/c i didn't have odds, and then it came in and i felt like an idiot for about 2 days.

call it a peace of mind call then?

Why don't you think you have odds to draw to 4 outs?

I agree our hand is never good UI.

The 4 outs are clean clean... unless someone has 97d or Q9d and then the Jd tainted.

We'd love both straight and flush draws to hit when we boat up so we get some calls.

(Are we ready for the river yet?)

call because the pot is big enough. it is +ev in the simplest terms. you will hit a J or T on the river enough to pay 2bb on the turn. that's it.

now if you want to avoid this crap, just start playing 3 or 4 handed. this never happens, which is why i should probably just stay away from commenting on hands like this

Any reads on you opponents? Is it a loose-aggressive table?

Nothing special on the reads. No maniacs. Loose, passive, a 2 bet means something.

Hey, no one is leaving the hand, and no one is trying to bluff into 4 people. Someone has a straight or a set, the worst hand out there could be is a flush draw.
