not a terrible play, just not a line i don't take often. i'm more of a showdown monkey than i should be though i think.

Great place for a flop bet. I fold to the raise. The turn bet is retarded. That flop was bone dry.

That is the worst turn card in the deck. I can't see anything other then check/fold on the turn.

Totally. I knew I should c/f, but couldn't bring myself to it on the "chance" he c/r'ed me w/air due to him having position in a small pot. Once I start inventing reasons to call, I really need to get myself to fold. I hate the times I think like a fish. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Getting outplayed is part of the game. Happens to me several times every session. No point worrying much about it. Adjust as best you can and trust yourself to make good decisions.

Button's positional advantage means he'll probably win more than his fair share in situations like this. The best you can do is minimize the damage by picking your spots carefully, especially in small pots.
