my point being that a lot of his jokes aer anti jew [/ QUOTE ] None of his jokes are anti-Jew. His jokes are making fun of people who are anti-Jew. Take the scene with the bed & breakfast Jewish couple. In no way is he joking about them -- he's pointing out how nice they are, which is why it's ridiculous when people are anti-Semitic like Borat; like, why would anyone fear a couple like that and think they turned into cockroaches and love money. His target is anti-Semitism. The jokes are pro-Jew. |

Re: The official Borat Movie Thread
The Southern formal dinner scene was spectacular. I was crying by the time he came back to the table with the "bag" in his hands. The movie is a classic. I wonder how TBS will figure out how to edit it so they can run it into the ground four years from now.

Re: The official Borat Movie Thread
Deleted scenes from the film are here. The "Cinnabon" scene is pretty funny.

[/ QUOTE ] While that scene was hilarious, my only problem with the scene is that it is a rehash of Da Ali G show. There is a skit from the show that had the exact same premise: Borat gets etiquette training, then goes to a formal dinner. |

Re: The official Borat Movie Thread
the pamela anderson scene was completely staged! there's no way security doesn't tackle the camera crew if it's not.
my favorite overlooked scene: the telegram. |

Anti-semetism is pretty complicated. |
