Whats the odds on this?
Was watching the 888.com UK Poker Open on TV last night.6 handed one player was dealt the following consecutive hands.
AA,AA,AA,AK never seen this run before live or online,whats the odds? |

This should go in the Probability forum under general gambling. I'll give it a shot here though.
Probability of this event = Prob of AA (0.452%) * Prob of AA * Prob of AA * Prob of AK(o or s) (2.112%) This makes: 0.452% * 0.452% * 0.452% * 2.112% = 0,0000001956 % This calculation assumes that he could have gotten the hands in any order, like AA, AA, AK, AA. |

Not edited the actual hands were dealt in that order with no break in play,the player was "Miss UK" I forget her name & she did not raise any of them preflop,winning all 4 hands with flop raises & no showdowns.
Padraig Parkinson was the commentator & he said he'd never seen anything even close to this in all his Poker career. |
