PCA thoughts -- would appreciate some input
I'm pondering a few random things with the PCA sats. I would appreciate any input that you think is relevant...
I've played 3 of the $27 rebuy sats and cashed the 650 in 2 of them. They feel pretty good and given the fact they are my first experience with rebuy events, so far so good. Lots of idiots during the rebuy period, and the endgame has been fine. I took a shot at one $175 DSO. My draw was horrible on the first table with 7 huge players and I got knocked out in 4th. I'm wondering how the $650 direct MTT has been for those of you that have played it. How does it compare in difficulty to the $20/180? Much harder, about the same, a bit softer? As many people have discussed, the variance on the DSOs is pretty high, so if I want to take a real stab there I should win 1 or 2 more 650s. I could do the same and then take a few shots at the 650 direct... oh the big decisions. It's November 3rd, and I'd really like to have this out of the way by the end of the month. Hope everyone is doing well. |

Re: PCA thoughts -- would appreciate some input
the 650 is probably much harder than a 20/180 but I have never played it before. you probably need to have some decent satilite skills to win in it.

Re: PCA thoughts -- would appreciate some input
The 650 definately isnt easy, but i still like anyones chances in it over the DSO, those are getting very very tough fields.
Go for the 650 or heres a crazy idea, play 27 R's into 650's like crazy until you've worked up enough W dollars to buy in on stars, but you'd need a lot of time for that... |

winning a 20/180 is like passing kindergarden. winning a $650 is like passing high school.

augie you have won 1 of both don't brag too much. I bet by the end of the challenge you hate 20/180s.

the 650$s are great value as most are culeless on how to play them. read a great post thats in the anothogoly.
winning a 180 man against finishing in top 6% of a 650. For a decent player i think the 650 everytime would be easier. imo |

[/ QUOTE ] That's a lot of 27 R's.... IF I sustained this same starting stretch of bubbling in 2 out of 3 (probably not too realistic), I'd have to play 35 of them assuming an everage of $85 put into each one. (so far I've put in 52, 77 and 127 respectively). So one a day this month and a few more on weekends perhaps... hmm crazy idea. If I were to do that though I could throw in a DSO or two each week to mix it up, and maybe a 650. |

But yeah, you wouldn't need to compare it to WINNING a 180, just compared to making the final table. If the 650 had 180 players 9 would get the package. |
