Portland +9 at Golden State
What is going on with these lines?
Last time, vs. the lakers +7? Have the odds makers gone crazy over Golden State? I picked the Lakers to win for +240...Considering taking Portland to win too. If not, definitely in for +9. Seriously though, why have they been favored in these games?

Probably because Golden State swept Portland last year by an average of 11 points? I don't use these type of stats, but most bettors do--and that's who the lines are for.

Roy is my rookie of the year pick as well, but he's not going to have the impact of, say, Chris Paul. They're still going to be one of the worst teams in basketball, while Golden State is expected to be much improved, and even a playoff contender.
