They actually have little trained monkeys in there, stacking the deck for action flops. They can also hit the doom switch if you look like you are going to cash out, and the monkey gives you bad cards.

Because the casino has special coded cards and the shufflematic is coded to cold deck the table every 8.93 hands.

Correct answer: Because someone with a camera would be able to get a read on the card sequence. I am serious. It has been done, prompting shufflemaster to make a few changes to their blackjack shufflers. They used to have a clear portion along the top 1/3 of the machine, they sent the casinos a piece of plastic to cover this area.
