Default 50nl kk c/f overpair

villain is a good tag. like 22/18 over 250 hands

Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $50
UTG+1: $26.50
CO: $17.90
Button: $70.05
Hero: $127.40
BB: $33.95

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $2</font>, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $8.5</font>, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($19.5, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $14</font>, Hero folds.

who's the villian in this hand, Johnny Chan? I just don't see how you can give anyone that much credit. Isn't a good tag's range wider than AA,QQ,JJ in this spot? Especially after checking the flop. Am I way off? I agree that betting the flop narrows his range considerably depending on his reaction.

Yeah, you have to cbet this, because you were the preflop aggressor AND you are out of position, so betting is good. You have a pretty strong hand, and it doesn't look like AA, but I admit, UTG prelfop raiser and calling a reraise is probably AK, JJ, TT and probably 66+. If you bet this flop you know if villain has any one of these if he raises or even calls. AQsooted or AJsooted probably does this too, and even JT or KQsooted so his range is pretty wide.

i don't think his range is that wide. i made it 6 more which is more than 10% of his stack. but yeah, it's definitely wide enough that i have to bet the flop.
