disjunction,
I'm guessing because his last name is an adjective that you'd use on occasion for some poker maneuvers? If someone named Alan Blough made a TV table, they'd refer to him by his full name. Unless it was VVP behind the mic, in which case we'd have to deal with all sorts of awful awful jokes. |

This is ESPN. They want more than 2000 people who actually know all these games to watch. I hear all this bitching about another NLHE FT, but try to imagine how hard it would be to make decent coverage for the average Joe where you constantly skips hands and no two consecutive hands are the same game. Just try to explain Stud 8 or O8 to some casual pokerplayer, then imagine the douches that announce this crap trying to do the same. It would never work. The show isn't just for us, they want more than a couple of thousand viewers.

The final table was awesome. They could've done like a pieced together 1 hour show of the lead up days though jus to show us some other games. Or maybe show some flashbacks during the final table instead of all the lame bios.

Yeah, I was really looking forwards to watching all those pros play razz and omaha/8.... I was a little disappointed, but still better that watching Rafe Furst play aces worse than anyone I've ever seen, and then hitting a two outter and eventually winning the tournament.

[ QUOTE ] gotta really feel for andy - looks like he played really well and coulda shoulda won the tourney in a couple of spots. well played all around. [/ QUOTE ] My thoughts exactly, but I think Chip Reese probably deserved it for all that he has acomplished in his poker career. Its also hard to feel sorry for somebody who just won around 1 million dollars imo. [/ QUOTE ] Also, up until this HORSE event, Chip Reese was probably the unluckiest player in poker TV history. Every time he was on a show he took insanely bad beats, coolers, etc. |

Great Episode. For all the times that people complain about the internet amateurs carrying on like idiots only to have some poster reply with "Well what do you to see then, a bunch of people sitting at a table showing no emotion" My answer is THIS. This is what I want to see. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly!!! |
