Default Breeders Cup

Post Pos. came out today.

Some value on the European horses on the turf races.

The Juvenile looks wide open with no clear favorite. I like King of the Roxy, but alot of that is the Prado/Plethcer combo.

I don't like Lava Man as much as he has been touted, but a nice number at 6-1.

Am I crazy or does Brother Derek seem like sick value at 30-1. I know he has had a bad year, but he has looked better lately and should be in the class of the top horses.

Anybody betting this?

See my location . Actually I didn't start the thread this year because I figured I'd be boozing it up in Louisville and be too busy to post picks but plane doesn't leave til morning so here goes..

Don't like the euros in the Turf except at long prices, I think there is value on English Channell at +325. Engligh Channell > Cacique at this distance IMHO. I don't see any value in beating Bernardini except maybe with Brother Derek, but it's definitely a long shot, the price on Invasor and Lava Man is way to short. Juvinile could very well go to a fav but the Juv Filly will most almost certainly be a pricey ticket.

Early pick 4 looks like a pricey ticket, going very deep in the sprint and juv filly keying Ouiji/Maurakalana and shorting the juvinile.

I'll be back with Bodog props when they post, I am 3-0 lifetime against there time props...GL all.

Pinny offering this:

902) Brother Derek +5000

already took it. If you liked 32-1, you should LOVE this.

Now that I think about it there may be more value on Lawyer Ron +5000, first Pletcher and some questions about light drug testing this year when it comes to the milkshake, plus pretty decent horse.

When you bet horses online... Are the odds set or do they change?

if it's offered as a straight proposition, then your odds are locked in. your bet confirmation will indicate as such.

if you wager through pari-mutuel, your ticket will only show the amount bet and the type of wager. final payout will only be known after the race ends.

both forms of horse betting are available online, but unless you're already pre-registered at their horsebook, you probably won't make the mistake of betting pari-mutuel when you want proposition odds instead.

Free Money?!?!

Bodog has a prop on attendence, over/under 58,000. Expected attendence is over 80,000, last time BC was at Churchill in 98 attendence was over 80,000. Not sure if this a horrible Bodog line or I am missing something.

I don't know anything about horse racing, but this looks like a freebie to me. Weather should be good enough and they're expecting to break the record.
