$200 NL 9-handed. Effective stacks ~$200

Info on villian: I have seen only silly moves from this guy within the few orbits ive been at the table. By silly moves i mean he would raise min preflop and bet min into a big pot.

The hand went something like this.
Preflop: 1 limper and then villian raises to $4 (min). Im next to act and re-raise up to $10. Folded to villian who calls.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (~$23)
Villian checks i bet $15, villian calls

Turn: (A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (~$53)
Villian checks I bet $25, villian calls

River: (A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (~$103)

Raise more preflop. I'd check the turn. As for river, your pot is off, it should be $103. I'd call $30 getting over 4:1.

Why? A lot of times we win with a bet. Also a check puts us in a crappy spot for the rest of the hand.

Betting kind of turns our hand into a bluff. We're hoping to push a weak A out?

I bet the flop most of the time, but I understand why he's saying to check it. I bet the flop more for overall image reasons since I play with a lot of the same people regularly.

The pot is small and we want to keep it that way, we have position, and we are WA/WB
Checking in no way puts us in a crappy spot
