Default Stars $10 / 180: How much do I risk w/ marginal hand OOP?

Very early in tourney; Button seems to be open-raising alot from LP.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

MP2 (t1942)
CO (t2469)
Button (t900)
Hero (t1560)
BB (t799)
UTG (t1260)
UTG+1 (t1470)
MP1 (t1560)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of t20.
5 folds, Button raises to t80, Hero calls t70, BB (poster) calls t60.

Flop: (t240) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets t150, BB folds, Button calls t150.

Turn: (t540) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets t250

I like betting this flop because there's a pretty good chance I'm best, and it gives me the best chance to win the pot immediately (with minimal investment). However, the button called my flop bet, which leads me to believe he doesn't have much (UI overcards, Ace-x, PP under a Jack, etc). I suppose a FD is also possible, though I'd expect this guy to raise the flop w/ one.

The turn bricked (unless he was on a FD). I think another bet is in order on this moderately coordinated board. However, I don't want to risk anymore chips than necessary. If I'm raised, I plan on folding. If I'm called, I'll check the river (regardless of what comes), and probably fold to a bet.

Is there a way to lose less when behind, while getting value & charging draws when ahead?

I check-fold flop. For me, I see no reason to risk lots of chips with 2nd pair this early against multiple opponents.
