Default Is online poker rigged?

Now I am a good poker player, there is no doubt about this...I started off playing in a bar in detroit, did very well, a consistent winner night in a night out, we would play about 10-15 20$ tournament style games a night...Then we would always go to some guys house after the bar and just play some of the most brutal cash games...I moved to Las Vegas in March of 06'.....For a couple monthes until June I wasnt 21 yet so the casino was out of the question...This is when I fell into the online poker world..

I played at Full Tilt Poker...It started off alright, I was playing very small games because I was weary of the online poker universe..In about mid april I decided to take a chance, I deposited a large amount of money into my account and started playing for real money...So far so good, I doubled my money within a week, was playing well, and I cant lie I got veryyyyyyy lucky on a few pots, especially this one...I get A4 of clubs in the BB...The guy under the gun minimum raises to 8 dollars...One caller, so then I call...3 people in the pot...Flop comes 344..Im thinking bingo! The guy who called the 8 dollars leads out with a medium bet of 16 dollars, I call, then the raiser instantly goes all in....The guy who bet the 16 dollars calls, and I call..Original raiser preflop shows 3-3, caller shows 5-4 suited, and I have a4 suited, so im way behind...And the other guy is just screwed with his 5-4...But I'm pretty screwed as well, I need an ACE! Turn comes a king, river comes an ACE, a miracle card...I won about 600 dollars on that pot, I triple up!

I decided to take some of that money and withdraw it, I cashed out about half my roll later that day...The next month after that was horrific..I have never seen or taken so many bad beats in my life, I couldn't even win with quads for christs sake! Just like Phil Gordon said in his book, Poker the Real Deal, when you cash out, SIT OUT! I myself found that this myth is very true! So my roll gone, and a few rebuys later...I decided to take a break...

Off topic....A few things you will notice playing online poker that might help you, and has saved me tonsssssssss of money...Next time you flop 2 pair in NL Hold Em Ring game...Look at the board VERY closely! Make sure you dont get crazy with your 2 pair unless there are no straight or flush possibilities....Because I am telling you right now, when you flop 2 pair, you WILL get outdrawn on more then you won't, its a simple fact...As a beginner to online poker I started playing the same way I do in live poker, I would go crazy flopping 2 pair and just get my ass handed to me on a consistent basis! Look out for that next time before you go nuts with 2 pair..Because more times then not, its a setup!

My poker roll gone, I decided to buy back in a couple weeks before my 21st birthday..I consider myself to be a better tournament player the ring game player, I am good at both but I give the slight edge to tournament style! So I started playing tournaments and Sit and Go's...I like the guarantee tournaments full tilt has, I played in a lot of those...I consistently cashed for about a month, I knew it was a matter of time before I struck gold, I had made 9 final tables in 1 month, and 22 cashes, it was just a matter of time before I won...The day finally came in early July, the 8th to be exact...I won my first guarantee tournament, it was the 3500 guarantee played at 7am pst...First place payed 1633 dollars....

Now I am not blaming it ALL on online poker, but something is definitely fishy on there...Like a moron I didnt cash it out, and started playing bigger games with my winnings...If only I had skills at money management as I do at poker, Id be friggin rich right now LOL....After about a week I had lost 800 of that 1600 playing 2-4$ blinds, on just total crap, bad beat after bad beat after bad beat...I put my money in with the best hand 90% of the time, and lost a lot more then half the time, I just couldnt win no matter what, I couldve went all in with AA preflop and some guy couldve called me with 2-3 and I woulda lost, I guarantee it, it was that bad...So I finally cashed out 600 of my 800 dollars, whatever Ill take it...

Well this is when it really went downhill, and I mean downhill, 2 cashouts under my belt they really wanted to stick it to me with no lube now, LOL....And thats exactly what they did...And still continue to do...I have never recovered from this horrible run of crap luck, not matter what I do on full tilt, I will lose, I could flop quad aces and still lose somehow someway...Just for [censored] and giggles I decided to tally all the times I had 10-10 or higher preflop, and someone had a higher PP...Since September 1st, it has happened to me 171 times, thats INSANE! Thats almost 3 times a day on average..And thats not including all the times I've seen it happen to other people, thats just how many times its happend to me...Well anyways, I've said too much lol...

Just beware, when you get 10-10 through Q-Q be very careful, because theres not a bad chance someone is holding KK or AA...Or when you flop 2 pair, be VERYYYYYYY careful, especially if you have cashed out recently, because chances are its a setup hand, and you are gonna lose your ass.....When you cash out, SIT OUT for at least 2 weeks, dont make the same mistake I did by being a hardhead, thinking you can beat this minefield they call online poker, some of the worst players in the world play online, and thats the truth...Today this guy actually went all in preflop for 50 dollars with q-9, and i called him with KK and he hit 2 pair on me instantly, friggin rediculous, its almost like bad play gets paid off online, especially against me, lol....Well my poker roll is dead yet again, and now I have to work to make all my money back =(

look for me on full tilt

The guy with 54 is no more behind than you are. Maybe this was part of your problem?
