Zero read on this guy, he had just sat down (with a short stack). I figured he limp called PF so my kicker is good, but I'm not beating much though, AJ, AX. But is he pushing a bad ace or a some kind of combo draw hand? I'm only getting 2-1, so I have to be right here fairly often (I'm so bad at math I don't know the exact percent off hand, I should work on that) This is probably very simple hand, I just have trouble against these short stack raises on the flop. thanks -starvs |

Re: 50NL - AQ against flop raise
Starvs-
Raise more preflop out of the blinds. AQo sucks OOP. I am just completing at a table full of unknowns, depending on table conditions I will raise this preflop, but not often. Why just a little more than 1/2 pot on the flop? Bet more on the flop, call shortie's all-in. Regards, Quarkncover |

Re: 50NL - AQ against flop raise
Given that he's a short stack I like the call but I just started playing NL. How deep is he before you fold?

Re: 50NL - AQ against flop raise
starvs,
In my experience, this guy is pushing with a large enough range here that you have to call. Ax, QJ, etc. are the most likely holdings and you can always catch your 2 pair or running flush if he has A9 or something. |
