Re: 2/4 Stars, 4-bet preflop; completely standard, yes?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] How many outs are you waiting for? [/ QUOTE ] Apparently too many in the past. How about in the situation where we can't mark this guy with AAxx. Suppose this villian opens with more than just AAxx but always with something decent. We just called preflop and then this flop came down. I guess it's probably still good to put the pressure on. [/ QUOTE ] Depends on stack sizes. |

Re: 2/4 Stars, 4-bet preflop; completely standard, yes?
I think he has to fold to the 4 bet preflop. He's usually a significant (60-40) dog preflop and the majority of the time he'll wind up stacking off behind on the flop like he did with one pair. Even if he gets lucky and flops 2 pair, the AA is drawing live. There really is no hand that you can play against AA preflop heads up for more than 15% of your stack.

Re: 2/4 Stars, 4-bet preflop; completely standard, yes?
I like reraise preflop if you have position and to isolate, but there isn't any reason to not call in the SB here unless you think CO is on a steal and will fold preflop. So it's read dependent. Flop play is standard although I don't mind check-call.

No way should this be folded preflop. This hand is very very standard. Folding preflop is weak tight.
