Default Accepting a losing day

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but I like this one so whatever.

I have problems with accepting a losing day, particularly if I've played well for that day. I always have the temptation to move up and win back my losses ASAP and it often leads to me losing more. It doesn't even matter how much I lose, be it 1 buyin or 10.. I want every day to be a winning one. It seems to be becoming more of a problem now I'm playing 3/6 and 5/10 and the money means a lot to me, even though I'm well rolled for both those games.

I know a lot of people have/had this problem, what did you do overcome it?

There is no easy answer I'm afraid. If you are playing a session that has to be short, you could play the lower of the two stakes so that a loss won't piss you off so much when you don't have much time to get it back.

And there is the totally awful day syndrome. If you have a day that's beyond what you could imagine, then every other bad day in the future somehow doesn't seem quite so bad.

First, I tell myself these things:

Today is not the day.
I'm runnning bad, playing bad, and people are taking shots at me.
I'm only down X buy-in's right now.
All the "totally awful days" have been when I was trying to win back money.
I can win it back tommorow much easier.

Next, I think of something fun & enjoyable to do which is not poker related - play a video game, watch a film, go out and do something.

I then find it very easy to pull myself away from poker.

I had a month where I lost every time I played. I was playing well though and would quit when I felt myselft getting hot. Just something you learn to do if you like your roll. Also, some toher days after a final horrendous beat (KK losng to JJ on KJJ flop)ill just say that im not meant tot win today, [censored] this. I quit and leave.

I feel exactly the same way. I'm well rolled for all the games I play on regular basis, but it still annoys me alot to book a losing a day.
Like you said it doesnt even matter if it's 1 buyin or 10 buyins it feels terrible and makes you wanna win it back NOW.
Something I have done now is if I lose a big pot and start feeling the need to gamble to get the moneys back soon I just close all the tables immidietly. Don't wait for the blinds to come around or anything, just leave before anything worse will happen and go do something else untill you feel like you can play normally.

Wish I could find a better solution, because that method limits the amount of hands I'm able to play per month.
