I think I get in trouble here a lot. This guy has literally called me down/bluffed with air with any 2 pretty much everytime i get involved with him. I think his vpip was around 75 or so and it was prob 100 vs. me b/c i was the most active preflop raiser at the table.

Can I still call down here on this freaking awful board?

The thing I seem to notice is that even when I am running bad and am down a lot, my win at showdown is still like 53% sometimes. And this is indicative of someone who is not calling enough. Yet when I call down they pretty much always have it.

obviously an easy call against a maniac. i don't know about 3-betting it though if he was maniacal enough, it's okay.

I don't like the preflop call unless you can c/c down and he'll bluff thru everytime and give you ton when you hit a set.

Fold preflop? Anyone?

I think postflop is fine. I would consider a turn check/call. But I think betting is ok, since he'll check behind many worse hands that he'll get to showdown with. Yes, you can call down. You've got a chance to fill on the river, and once you get there you can call hoping to see two pair enough.

He said this guys VPIP was around 75% and 100% against OP with tons of bluff raises. This guy's a maniac. I'm calling 4's PF no matter what--and I'm calling one on the flop. This clown makes up for it on later streets when spews into my set. Uh-uh...call this EVERY FREAKIN' time against this guy. You're going to get busted up alot by this guy, but when you start to hit hands and he goes cold, it is mucho mucho +++EV for you. Play lots of hands with this clown...as much as you can.

3-bet turn. If you're really scared, c/c river and expect to see a busted FD or 2-pair or A8 a lot.

I like the CC. He will probably bet the flop and turn with any two cards. Sometimes you can fold the somewhere. You don't want the initiative, and letting the BB stay in the hand cheaply isn't a huge problem because he's just another guy to pay you off when you hit a set.
