5/5 live, call or fold to riverbet
8 handed crazy 5/5 no limit game (4 way pots when the pre-flop raise is 100 wasnt't an exception), except the villain is one of the better players at the table. He gets a little out of line pre-flop but mostly plays a somewhat tight/aggro game postflop.
Between hand 1 and 2 he got his flopped straight cracked by a FD where it they went all-in 3 way another guy had AA. And he lost about 1100 with his Q's vs AA where he couldn't lay them down. I think he acted more like it bothered him than it actually did. first hand: villain is on the button, I'm in the SB. Hero: Ad6d UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, the rest folds, villain calls on the button, hero checks, BB checks. flop: Ah8cJh, get's checked around turn: 6c, hero bets 25, UTG(donkey) calls, villain calls river: Kd, hero bets 75, UTG folds, villain pushes his remaining 275. hand 2: hero is in BB: 48o 3 limpers, villain checks in SB, hero checks: flop: Ah8h4c, hero bets 20 UTG makes it 40 villain calls, I make it 120, UTG folds, SB calls. turn: 5c, villain checks, I bet 250 with the intention to folding if he c/r, villain calls. river: Qc, villain pushed his remaining 350. Thoughts??? Go easy on me it's my first post. |

Re: 5/5 live, call or fold to riverbet
Hand 1: I would probably call, quite a few draws missed, and not much got there except for QT[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], which I think is likely to bet the flop, with it's double gutshot. I think you'll see KJ alone enough to make the call.
Hand 2: I would fold, because there are too many hands that beat you that make sense, and only missed hearts that could really be bluffing here. I can't imagine him pushing a worse hand for value, given how the pot played out. I think he expects you to call, and thus, you should fold. |
