Default (NL $400) 99 overpair against LAG shove

I was taking a shot at $400nl with my usual game being $200nl,so no previous history with villian (he is multi-tabling), although about 50 hands earlier in this session I stacked him when I raised pre, bet into him on the flop and turn with a QQ overpair on a paired and flush draw board. The river was Q that made the flush and filled me up & he shoved into me with a K high flush, (with weak kicker).

Apart from that he has been playing LAG, I have let him steal a couple of times, and repopped him a couple of times and he has folded, my image should be TAG.

Do you call the river, what about my play on prior streets, given my hand is pretty weak? c/c flop?

If you are taking a shot, try not to get 100BB's in such thin spots.

Agreed, although I am maybe more just moved up, rather than taking a shot, but yeah i don't ideally want to be getting it in for 100BB's in such a marginal position. But how do I play it differently? Do you think folding turn or river is EV neutral? I think this guy is going to bet virtually every time on the turn once I check, and there is a good chance my 9's are good. View on river?

Your pre-flop and flop amounts are really bad

Fold the turn, or CRAI.

Avoiding high variance spots such as this when taking shots is good advice

I think I was trying to manage the pot size a bit but looking back yeah the raise and pot bets are bad.

I quite like to check call turns like this against lags just because (at least at $200NL) they bluff at the river so often when their draws miss, is that such a bad line?
