I thought you Cardinal fans would be interested to know that AcesHigh7 showed up in Sporting Events for the first time in more than two weeks. He made one post in in the Sheffield thread.

It's not over, but the Tigers have to be devastated.

I actually did a search of all his posts earlier today, but he either hadn't made that one yet or I somehow just missed it out of the two posts he made in the past week.

I'm sure all the Cards fans will disagree and I don't really care but I thought Zumaya got squeezed big time. His first pitch was right down the middle belt high and was called a ball. A few others that looked good were also called balls.

MyTurn2Raise,

Did you count how many foul balls went to the 3rd base line, just past the dugout? It was a lot.

Anybody else get nervous when Pujols plays those grounders like that? It is so not fundamentally correct, but he seems to get the job done.

My girlfriend and I both winced as that pitch went by looking, and then giggled when it was called a ball. So we both thought it was good.

Then Wainwright's first pitch looked like more of a ball than that one, and it was called a strike. Not like I have a great vantage point from my couch in Nashville, but them's the breaks.

Well I'm a cards fan and I will admit that I noticed that Zumaya got aqueezed on at least one pitch. Zumaya does have a tendency to be wild though and I really think Rodriguez is one of the worst receivers of the baseball I have ever seen. I'm sure other will disagree, but I notice a bunch of pitches that look like they could be strikes, but because of the way Pudge catches the ball he makes them look worse than they really are.
