Curious what people have to say about playing big flopped draws. I had this same basic situation arise several times today.
Hold'em No Limit ($0.50/$1.00) Seat 1: SB ($50.45 in chips) Seat 2: BB ($112.50 in chips) Seat 3: xxx Seat 4: Hero ($53.20 in chips) Seat 5: xxx Seat 6: xxx *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] fold Hero raises $2 to $3 2 folds SB calls $2.50 BB calls $2 *** FLOP *** [5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] SB checks BB checks Hero bets $5 SB raises $9 to $14 BB raises $26 to $40 Hero ??? |

Instamuck. If you're lucky your A outs are clean, but usually they're not with that action.

Why do you only have $50 in chips with .50/1.00 blinds? Buy in to a full stack first.

yeah are you seriously shortstacking 100NL?
you should fold this. it doesn't even qualify as a "big draw" because clearly your A and 9 are not outs, and someone else may have something like pair + flush draw eating your hearts too. |
