early vs. random villain, so no reads. i feel like i should have bet the flop, and that i misplayed the turn, but i don't know how. that got me into the ugly spot of whether or not to call a bet that may or may not have been a bluff. comments on all streets are appreciated.

honestly, as played id probably call the river. this line could be a weaker pp/bluff a lot of the time with the way you played it...the turn bet could be interprested so many ways after checking an A high flop. id have bet the flop and given up if he came along, but as played id probably call the river.

Most players are looking to check raise you when the hit top pair on the flop. So, he may have missed his c/r attempt on the flop, but once he checks again on the turn, I'm pretty sure mine QQ is good here.

So, I actually probably check the turn behind as well and call a bet on the river.

As played, his bet confuses me. Very strange line for an A. I mean, he was aggro enough to raise it preflop, so I'd expect him to put in a raise with top pair at some point before the river. So, I'd call here and lose to his A9.
