Default 2/4 Facing aggression on good flop

Absolute 2/4 8 handed. Middle position poster.

One limper and the poster checks. I have QJs on the button, and in a fit of insanity, I click call instead of raise. (May the poker gods forgive me. If anyone cares, I am often accused of significant *over* aggression pre-flop in hands with a poster. Alas, not this time.) The blinds come along and we are 5 to the flop for 5SB.

Flop is Q72 rainbow, one of my suit and I am happy. Blinds check and limper bets. Poster now raises. I am slightly less happy.

You?

No reason yet to think that you are not in the lead...

I can get behind a 3-bet. Almost certainly folds the blinds and gets you a good shot at a free card on the turn if you want one. If anyone caps and then leads the turn, it's probably time to get out if you're unimproved. If you pick up the flush draw on the turn, it'll be up to the pot odds whether you see a river.

Easy 3-bet. If it's capped I'm calling, but folding the turn unimproved.

Folding the turn unimproved after a cap is probably a mistake.

If it gets capped here two ways, there will be 7 BB in the pot -- 8 after a turn bet. The lack of a pre-flop raise means he is pretty unlikely to have a better top pair and a cap means he is pretty unlikely to a have a worse top pair which means he is most likely to have two pair or a set. If it is two pair and the turn is a card higher than a 7, then we have 6-9 outs to win.

Of course, if it is a set, then we are dead, but there are a lot more ways to have two pair than a set and a set would be much more likely to wait for the turn. (Note that since this guy got a free look pre-flop, two pair is not as unlikely as it might normally be on this board.)

It is also conceivable that we are best, though I would not put a lot of stock in that. Never-the-less, we might get checked to on the river.

In short, we have the odds to see the river if it is capped on the flop.
