Re: No Pokerroom, where will Mac users go?
The wife bought me one as a wedding present last year. Thanks for the advice though.
I was just trying to find out if there was a consensus and see which way the fish were being driven. |

Re: No Pokerroom, where will Mac users go?
If they're fish, they go the easy way. Is buying a whole new computer the easy way?
Some say "oh well" and go watch TV instead. Most will probably go to Full Tilt, where they can be playing again in a matter of minutes. It's the degenerates who are terrible but can't stop who'll buy new hardware and/or software to have the biggest pool of players to whom to lose their money. |

Re: No Pokerroom, where will Mac users go?
I have a Poker Stars account, but once Pokeroom is done I think I'll open one at full tilt. Guess I better start the search for Full Tilt rakeback now.

Re: No Pokerroom, where will Mac users go?
People have been talking about using Bootcamp. Personally, I would use Parallels instead which creates a virtual windows machine on an Intel-based Mac. Then you can have Windows and Mac programs running side by side instead of being forced to boot into one environment or the other. Performance feels just as good as being on a Windows machine.
I am running Pokerstars this way on a new 24" iMac. This is by far the best computing environment I have even been on. OS X is great, the computer is nearly silent, the discs are not thrashing the whole time, no viruses, or malware, etc. Great fun. |
