the push looks fine. don't second guess your moves too much. just go on to the next hand.

How the hell is this not optimal? Checking BB is retarded, and raising anything else is commiting yourself to any flop anyway.

Your play is as standard as standard gets. Any other choice would have been terrible. Personally if I have less than 10 big blinds, and have decided to make a raise preflop, I push.

For future posts remove the action behind your own move, in this case "Button folds, SB folds."

one of the first things to learn here is not to be results-oriented. You did not know that they would fold before you pushed, therefore you should not include that in your hand history when you post. You also should not even be considering whether they called or folded, or what they called or folded with when you evaluate this specific hand. That information is only pertinent to later hands against those players.

So my advice to you is to completely ignore the results of a hand when you evaluate whether the play was good or not. Focus instead on the hand's profitability, on maximizing your expected value with each play. In this hand, you have less than 10 big blinds; any raise commits you to the pot. So push it all-in preflop while you're still best.

Supwithbates is right. Please don't post outcome in future. This is completely standard and the optimal move.

If the button raises to 600, push. If the button pushes, call.

You're hovering near the Death Zone chip wise so it's no time to get cute...just push.
