Re: The end is nigh
You just have to adapt..Ive been a poker pro since the late 80's, and nothing has ever remained the same..Not at cardrooms or online...Knowing how to play all the poker games and structures becomes critical during the slow times...Right now..the Omaha high pot limit games are still relatively juicy..I'd be stuggling right now online, if all I played was the simple game of holdem.

Re: The end is nigh
What levels you play? Its a donkfest at levels that you can barely scratch out 6 US an hour million tabling. Beyond that its bunghole tight and not worth the risk of capital.

Re: The end is nigh
Yeah I never played in those games. But from observation those games played like live 15/30 games. This site has alot of roadkill stories about guys that beat those games that are now busto or beyond in credit counselling/GA meetings.

I used to own 5-10 limit. Now I struuuuuuuugle to make it in 2-4 limit. 3-6 has got tighter than Jessica Simpson before she got married, I agree, Omaha pl high is where it's at.

Re: The end is nigh
Just be patient. There is a good chance that a poker carve-out will be happening. If B&M cardrooms want to enter into the online world, then it will become legal since they have the money to lobby for it. They can swing elections if they want to.
Build up your bankroll, learn to play different games, or just take some time off. With the poker boom happening in Europe and Asia, you will be able to play soft games 24/7 when it becomes legal. |
