NL400$ A5 Rivered Two Pair
Villain is 11/8/2.7 . I played a previous hand before against him where I made a river donk bet and won the pot by him folding, flop and turn were identical actions.

What does an 11/8 player have here that you're beating? Can't be AK AQ because an 11/8 player won't float those, right?

Well the hand before I made the absolutely same move and he folded. I thought he mind consider me out of line and he is very aggressive postflop.

Re: NL400$ A5 Rivered Two Pair
His line this hand doesn't look so aggressive. Maybe he floated the flop and looked to take it away with 2/3rd PSB on the turn. You lose to AJ, 78, all sets. You beat a bluff, maybe bad two pair (seems very unlikely).
I'm not sure I could find a fold on the river either but I definitely feel iffy about calling. The Doc |

Re: NL400$ A5 Rivered Two Pair
I would've folded the turn and probably ck/ca the river, and def. fold to his raise as played.

Re: NL400$ A5 Rivered Two Pair
If he doesn't have a set, I think he has the nuts with 78s.
- Preflop it's a pretty standard call in position even for a tight player. - On the flop he has a gutshot and position: pretty good implied odds and/or bluffing opportunities. - He misses the turn but you check the ace, so he sees that as an opportunity to bluff. You call. - He hits his gutshot on the river and raises for value. Might be too loose though seeing his stats. AJ is also possible but I think he would have raised the flop if he's so aggressive. Either way, you are probably beat but with pot odds and your hand, I would probably call too. |

Re: NL400$ A5 Rivered Two Pair
I was villain in the hand. I don't know if it's your sample size (I have ~600 hands against you) or your stats are just wrong, because I'm nowhere near an 11/8.
