Re: is this a wrap? =)
it is a wrap, but its not actually got that many outs, only 16, the thing that makes it dead sexy is all 16 are to the nuts and a lot are quiet well hidden so you have trully great implied odds, I'd want to give my opponent a chance to make a mistake later than take it down or get all in as a flip now.
The big re-raise would be much more suited to monster wraps / wrap+straight draws that have more outs & more winning % but can suffer from poor implied odds or reverse implied odds. |

Re: is this a wrap? =)
bob, your post was my hunch, i just couldnt put it in words. however, what hands do i have implied odds against? if AAxx folds this flop, wont it surely fold on the turn? what hands am i getting value from on later streets that is folding on the flop?

Re: is this a wrap? =)
You have great implied odds if your opponent holds a set or even 2 pair, this is as much to do with your position as the board and the safe lookingness of most of your outs, if a 4 comes its gonna be hard to not bet top 2 and top trips will often pay off your raise.
Another good situation here is when your opponent has a similar but weaker draw and you hit on the turn and get it all in with a free roll for a higher straight. |
