Default Decentralization of Authority

Can someone hit some key point to the decentralization of authority. Like the good vs bad. I have a huge presentation over it and I cant find much info on it. I would like to know more about it in business rather than politics. Also a couple of examples whould be nice. Thanks a lot.

If you want it to do with business instead of politics why'd you post it in the politics forum?

I would like info on the decentralization of authority in general, and then examples of it in business.
