Post some hands, each reply in a thread doesnt always get a specific response or the thread would never end.

Re: How many posts do I have to have before people respond to my posts
I'll be honest, I am more likely to respond to posts from people I recognize or posts that have a lot of replies.
That being said, I try to respond to lots of posts, and aside from your reply in another thread, I don't really remember seeing any posts from you. So that being said, please post more because having yet another really good player posting regularly can't be anything but good. |

I have played with you like once, twice? But I know who you are and would love it if you started posting.
But I've never seen you post before now. |

Re: How many posts do I have to have before people respond to my posts
Step 1: post something horribly bad (like folding KK preflop to a single raise) to generate a memorable thread with a lot of replies.
Step 1a: Post something with a valid advanced theory misapplied (like using "Gigabet's dilemma" for...well, for anything at all), to generate a memorable thread with a lot of replies, but on a somewhat more advanced level. Step 2: Start posting legit hands. |

Re: How many posts do I have to have before people respond to my posts
Hey Roothlus,
Whenever I make a new thread, I go out of my way to make it get as many views as possible. It's like flopping a set, you try to make the most money off of it as possible. First, try to make a catchy title. Don't just be like "AK 100r" No one will give a [censored] about some generic thread title like that. One up on that would be like "AK vs Bel0wAb0ve 100r" Ok, it's against a tricky opponent, this might be interesting. But still if you try to make it snappier more people will look. "V Tough spot w/ AK vs Belowwwwwwwwww" would prob get even more looks. Make the post as clear and concise as possible. Post every detail necessary, and none that aren't necessary, in as clear and structured way as possible. Don't just throw down the raw hand history. Convert it, say the stack sizes, say what stage, previous hands, reads, table image, what you had for breakfast, etc. Never post results. Sometimes you can say what you did, i.e. say "River he shoves and I fold. Thoughts on the fold?" Or you could say "River he shoves, I...?" Either way can be ok depending on the type of answers you want or the question you are asking. Lastly, stimulate discussion within the thread. A lot of morons always say to me "if you wanted an answer for this thread, why do you always disagree with anyone who tells you something!!??" Well those people are morons. I try my best to find holes in everyones responses in my thread so that I can generate more discussion. For example if they make a bad read I will ask them how they came to that absurd conclusion, and it forces him to think more about the hand and give a better response. Don't let people bullsht in your thread, make them actually think about the hand that you are posting. That's basically a good start on how to get noticed. Hope it helps. |
