Okay, I've made my changes. I haven't touched anything in the last 15 years 'cept one because I'm lazy and hazy about my 90's-00's release dates.

This is my quick list of favorite hip-hop albums from 1990-2000:

LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out (1990)
A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory (1991)
Dr. Dre - The Chronic (1992)
Wu Tang Clan - Enter The Wu Tang: 36 Chambers (1993)
Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die (1994)
Mobb Deep - The Infamous (1995)
Makaveli - The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory (1996)
Busta Rhymes - When Disaster Strikes (1997)

I just couldn't make a decision for '98...
DMX - It's Dark and Hell is Hot (1998) & Gang Starr - Moment Of Truth (1998)
Jay-Z - Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter (1999)
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP (2000)

1975 - Bob Dylan, Blood on the Tracks

[/ QUOTE ]

Here is why 1975 is so great... Dylan puts out one of his best albums (and my favorite but that's besides the point) AND IT ISN'T EVEN THE BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR!

Here's a hint.

1975 - Bruce Springsteen, Born to Run

(and I don't think it is even that close, flame away.
keep in mind if effing love Dylan, and Blood... is ridiculously amazing)

Grifter,

Agreed. Born to Run is far and away the greater album. Not one song on that album is bad and 3 of them are GREAT.
