I call this down because pot is big enough that he could also have a busted draw and to gain information about his play.

As it was, calling was indeed the correct play, but neither of my opponents were on busted draws.

UTG had 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] having made two pair on the flop, with their lowest pair conterfeited on the turn.

SB had J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and took the pot, holding a jack kicker.

My lowly 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] was good, but folded.

Thanks again for the feedback,

CM

I think you have to call this river and I state that mainly because the main aggressor, SB, has now effectively given up, which implies he most likely had a weak holding or a busted draw of some description. The pot is also very large at this point and there is not much you're losing to on this fortunate river given the Preflop and Turn action combined. (i.e. I believe UTG would have raised teh turn if he held trip 7s, and you have to discount those strongly from SB's range now that he has checked this river ; and further one would have expected overpairs to your 4s to have chucked in a pre-flop raise)

Bad fold with those pot odds. SB's a maniac and checks the river. Looks like busted draw. UTG is correct to bet with a three on this board because he would be correct to call with a 3. You'll lose this a lot more than win it, but you won't lose 12/13 times.
