Default Hopefully I can post this here...

Hello,
I am currently in talks with a few well known (maybe not well liked poker pros, yes you have seen them on TV). My idea is something that's not being done. However, I don't have the resources to pull this thing off. The cost to kick off this project can easily run in the 7 figures. At this point in my life, I am not willing to risk this much money or credit due to personal reasons.

If anyone here is or knows of any "Angel investors" or if you have the funds to get involved in a project like this. Shoot me a pm and I can get you a non disclosure/ non compete so you can hear the IDEA.

I really wish I could give more details, I just can't. Of course the reason why I am posting this here is because it's poker related.

No it's not for a poker forum or anything similar to 2plus2 forums.

If I cannot post this here, then please delete the thread and I am sorry.

But your more then happy to risk someone elses money?

Why not get some of your professional poker players to toss some cash your way?

If you don't have enough faith in your idea to risk your own money, why would someone else?

It seems very obvious to me that he's just saying he doesn't want to bear the whole cost of the project himself, not that he doesn't want to commit ANY money.

This is a basic tenet. Why use your own money when there are people who can loan you there's?

Well honestly, I have about 250k I can invest in this venture. I cannot do anymore then that for personal reasons. My son having cancer is the main reason. I cannot go 6 months or more being strapped for cash.

Also with my background in Internet Marketing, I am a big plus for this venture. The real cost will come from programming/graphics and hiring employees who would have to be paid until the site gets profitable. The hard thing about finding investors for this project is that the people I know offline, who have money, have made money in the oilfeild. They only understand "brick and mortar" and don't believe that website/web business can make good money.

Sorry, but with the world like it is, I cannot give more details without a ND/NC.
