Default 25NL - 6 MAX: set vs possible straight ....

Can I get some opinions on how you guys may play these hands?

hand #1:

Villian is fairly loose playing about 45% of his hands and calling raises quite easily. He isn't very aggressive at all with the min raise being his strongest weapon. He likes to chase his draws often....

Yes i screwed up my 3 bet on the flop. I wanted to raise 10, but put in 10 in the box instead of 15. So it now makes my turn bet a little harder as his stack is about the size of the pot.

Is an All-in on the turn an option? Can I really put him on the exact hand of QJ or maybe even worst QJ hearts thus needing a fold?

Hand #2 - this was 5 hands after the above hand....

Villian is loose and passive. He doesn't really play back unless he has something good. He has called flop bets and folded on the turn many many times so I figured it was worth to fire out twice.

Do I really want to gamble on the river? I figure it is All in or nothing for me at this point but i could be wrong. Villian only has a pot sized stack left....

I will say that i got a bad feeling about the hand after the call on the turn. My gut was saying that i'm beat and to just check/fold...

hand 1: push over his minraise.

hand 2: imo, bet smaller on the turn. i'd check call river.

Hand #1: Raise more on the flop (~15-20$), so that you can push the turn. You beat AT, KT, TT, AK. He could have raised a flush draw/combo like :hearts:Q:T, :hearts:K:T, A:hearts:K. There is no chance you get away with this monster against QJ (or AA). You also have 11 outs (2 K, 3 A, 3 T, 3 9) for a full house.

Hand #2: Check the river and let him induce a bluff with a failed draw. Fold to a big bet (>1/2 PSB).

He has only ~14$ left so a blocker especially of this size doesn't make much sense.

In hand1 pushing the flop would mean a 4xPSB. That's definitely to much and you are only getting called if you're beat.

How much do you call in hand2? A push?

Thanks. I was thinking about both hands the same way as you stated it. As I said in my OP that I wanted to raise it 10 more to him, but I punched in 10 oppose to 15 which would need him to make a call of 10 instead of the 5. That does my make my turn push easier.

The results of Hand #1. I pushed on the turn anyways he called. When it was all said and done he showed Q4 of spades. I was quite surprised. All that money on a straight draw. Didn't even have a pair or anything.

In hand #2 i checked on the rivier and he went all in. I figured i was going to do the same as you said. Check and see what he does. I did plan on calling some small/weak bluff bet. Tho all in was a bit too much and i had to be beat soo I folded.

Thanks for all the replies all
