Default protecting stack with 3 pair...

.50/1.. 6max.. about half table empty..

villian is like 33/20 reallly pretty aggro.. better post flop tho.

effective stacks are ~250

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and is the button..

Preflop:
MP raises to $3
Hero re-raises to $10, MP calls..

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (~20)

MP checks.. hero bets $15. MP calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] $50
MP bets $40, Hero raises to $80.. MP pushes...

hero???????? WTF??

Is there a point to raise river if you do not call a push.
I dont see the point of raising his river lead.

He raised the turn, not the river.

That being said, what is the reasoning behind the raise? Board is pretty drawless, so what are we protecting against?

I muck to his 3bet AI - you've shown strength on 3 consecutive streets and he is willing to play for 250bb stacks. I know you say he's agrro, bit does does he really push with KQ or a pp here? I think at best you're chopping with AK.

if you want to split w/ Ax when you have the best hand, that's up to you

the turn raise is not getting called by many hands you beat and is getting shoved by things you lose to... this indicates a call on the turn

while flopped trips are rare, they do occur, so you have to play your hand in a manner that keeps other cards in besides trips
