Any comments on this NL freezeout tourney structure?
3-4 tables, 25-35 players or so.
20 minute rounds, T4,000 to start Blinds _______________________LATE STACK 1 - T25/50_______________________$T3,850 2 - T50/100_______________________$T3,500 3- T75/150_______________________$T3,000 4 - T100/200__________________(no late arrivals) 5- T150/300 6- T200/400 break, color up green 7- T300/600 8- T400/800 100 ante 9- T500/1000 100 ante 10- T700/1500 200 ante 11- T1000/2000 300 ante 12- T1500/3000 500 ante 13- T2500/5000 no ante (frozen blinds into round 14+) |

Re: Any comments on this NL freezeout tourney structure?
Pretty big jump at level 8, I'd rather see 400/800 then 400/800/100.
Did you kill the antes at 13 because it'll most likely be HU at that point? |

I was wondering if someone would pick up on that right away. "Did you kill the antes at 13 because it'll most likely be HU at that point?" It had BETTER be HU or a tricycle at that point! These 2-hour final table are running pretty late for a weeknight game. Two other ideas, with the second based on your comments: 5- T150/300 6- T200/400 25 ante 7- T300/600 50 ante 10:45 - break, color up greens 8- T400/800 100 ante 9- T500/1000 100 ante 10- T700/1500 100 ante 11- T1000/2000 300 ante 12- T1500/3000 500 ante 13- T2500/5000 no ante or, as you suggested: 8- T400/800 no ante 9- T500/1000 100 ante 10- T700/1500 200 ante I think it's still a pretty brutal progression between rounds 7 and 10 in the second structure, even with dropping the round 8 antes. However, with the players presumably dropping out as well, the total round cost shouldn't be doubling each round. With either change, I'm a little concerned about the SB odds in the middle rounds. Thoughts on either adjustment? |

Yeah, either of those smooths it out a bit. I personally like antes (LAGtard) so I'd go for 200/400/25

one hour 40 minutes till a break? The smokers in my game would go postal long before that point.
Otherwise it looks ok |
