No-ones doubting your brilliance. Just wondered what a high roller like yourself is doing slumming it at the $30 level.

I play under the name BananaTug and a few other's that I keep private so I can get action. There's only so many player's on GPP who play HU so I use another one there as well.

Lovell, I was playing this particular hand on FTP where I don't stay bankrolled. I was playing within my bankroll on FTP so a $30 HU is all I could play within my bankroll on there. Most of my play is on GPP and HU on UB.

I see all side's of this arguement. I honestly was just trying to show 1 single example of when adjusting your play on the river might be the best idea to take control. I think it's a must play here in this givin spot according to how the action goes. If he call's me here lighter than the range I put him on, then nice call. Majority of the time a situation like this occur's. I take this pot enough to make it PLUS EV. I plan on being in these HU boards a ton since I'm new to 2plus2. I've posted a lot over at CardRunners.com and I'm fairly respected there I can say. I'm hoping to improve my cash game and while doing so, I'm trying to explain some advanced stuff I've found helpfull in HU that I've run into over thousands of HU sngs.

oOoO...

Can you post detailed stats from your last month of play? I'm really curious to see how another Heads Up guru makes their money.

4. TROUBLE!! HE CALLS!! Time to break down right? Wrong. Were still in this hand and we can't shut down and automatically go into check/fold mode just yet. After all, this is a pretty nice pot and we deserve to think it through even if checked to us before we give up. This is a common leak I see in many player's games, there not making adjustment's.

5. He check's a Queen on the river. Let's add this up now. Check/Calls the flop and turn, and check's the river. Doesn't seem to be any draw's out there right now so I don't think he's on a busted draw here. He played the flop and turn like he has the King. Problem is, he check's this river. Why's this a problem? We are now obligated to bet this for several reason's.

You build this up from the fact that he folded on the river.
There's exactly two possibilities here:
1) your opponent is stupid
2) your opponent is smart and you're gonna get checkraised here

Lets examine these options a bit closer:
1) if your opponent is stupid, your whole analysis just doesn't work. and you can probably find a lot better situations to get his chips than this Nth level bluff here. which makes this a bad play.

2) if your opponent is smart, he's not calling the turn without having you beat and you're just giving away your chips here. which makes this a bad play.

conclusion: this is a bad play and is perfect example of being results-oriented.

Hey o0o0o0o,
Sharkscope says your on Tilt and have lost $88 over 26 games? R u on tilt?.... and wait your results show you've lost a number of $6.25 HU matches. Do u have difficulty adjusting from playing $1000 HU to $6.25 HU?

Player's are smarter at higher level's and know I'm not making this play without a hand.

Maybe... they are so smart that they know that you know that they are smart so they are playing you by check-calling.

Definitely an ATM move 85% of the time

One other thing , it's impossible to have a win rate of 73 % at the higher limits as you claimed .

I know a lot of heads up specialist and they all agree with this .

I'm honestly not sure why I post here. I try to share a tip I've found works in rare situations and I ger ridiculed. I don't post on boards a ton. I simply play. HU is all about aggression. I never play on FTP or stars. I only play on Golden Palace Poker. I've played a few rare HU's on FTP and Star's. My roommate's played under my account on a few other site's so I'm not sure what sharkscope stat's are saying. You can feel free to pull them up for Golden Palace Poker if you'd like. As far as win rate, I think it's very high, but I've found on GPP the HU sng's to be profitable. It's too easy. Most of the player's at $50 and up are calling down with bottom pair the first hand. I've won 18 of my last 20. I know several other player's who I've mentored and gotten mentored from who play on GPP now at $100 and up HU sng's and there win rate is just as high. Maybe it's the site, but who know's. I'm profitable and making a ton of money so that's all it's about.

If you've found a site full of rich morons, good for you. (you can expect a few people from here to appear there soon)

If you decide to spend some more time here, then you'll find out this forum is more about learning to make good decisions in different situations. Beating really bad players is of course part of the learning curve, but your original post came across more like "Watch my AWESOME powers, underlings!".

Anyway, I myself have only played $5 and $10 HUSNGs and then blown my "bankroll" in a rebuy MTT. Not going to deposit more right now because I'm too tired each day after work to make good decisions playing poker.
