[ QUOTE ] Almost everyone that goes in there is in a good mood [/ QUOTE ] As a former starbucks employee, I can say this really isn't true [/ QUOTE ] Ditto, I worked 5 days at a Starbucks before realizing I absolutely could not stand the "fakeness" about it. I felt like I was in boot camp, as well as some assembly line worker. It wasn't enjoyable at all. Not to mention, waking up by 3:30 AM so I could make my 4:00 shift... |

Re: A Groovy NonResponsible Job Just to Have One
I worked at Trader Joe's for about a year and it was great. 7 hour mindless shifts, dress is ultra casual, the pay is good (I started at $10/hr). They give you health insurance after 3 months.
You are encouraged to make TJs a fun place for people, so you can spend a lot of time rapping with customers and giving them food to try. Most of the people I worked with young, artisitic and pretty funny as well. I'd still be there if I wasn't so damn ambitious. |

Re: A Groovy NonResponsible Job Just to Have One
i worked in a very fast-paced restaurant in just about every capacity, starting from dishwasher and doing prep, line cooking, salads/sandwiches, waiting tables a bit, etc. i love it as a part time job. it's hard but if you have a good crew it's a lot of fun.

Want hot bitches? Work at a health club.
I am the "Cashier" at the rec center at my gym (easiest job ever, help like a person an hour). It is amazing, I get to see all the best looking members of the University student body come in and out of the club. It is so great, I can't really express it in words. These girls are just... wow. |

If you're in school, being a Teacher's Assistant is the way to go. TA a first year class and you'll meet tons of young girls. And girls have this thing for TAs.

[ QUOTE ]
If you're looking for something relatively stress free, and more laid back, I wouldn't go the bartender route. [/ QUOTE ] if you're looking for stress free, say away from food service all together. restaurants/bars just somehow seem to manufacture pointless drama. (unless as NT points out, the crew is staffed with cool people) |
