Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9SB, 4 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets</font>, UTG+1 calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

I don't like the check/call on the flop. Being OOP with 4 players in a hand where you whiffed on a coordinated flop, I check/fold here.

I play it the same. You're getting like 12:1 on the flop call.

...plus closing the action on the flop makes the call easy.

I think the flop call is debatable. People easily could have Ax, meaning that you're reverse dominated.

That's a very specific hand against opponents who can easily have almost anything.

12-1 + last to act + backdoor flush draw = very easy call.

Actually even if someone does have a split pair with ace kicker it's still probably 12-1 for about 3.5 outs. Not a very significant Sklansky mistake. Compare that with folding at 12-1 carrying 6 good outs and a live backdoor, which is something that will also happen now and then.
