Best poker acomplishment? How long been playing?
I've been playing for almost 1.5 years. I started out playing in home games with my friends, and then moved to the free bar tourney circuit for a while (lol). I won a $25 gift certificate to Absolute poker from a bar tourney, started playing online, and didn't stop. I ran that $25 into about $200, before I lost it back. I then deposited $150 and built that into my current bankroll. That is probably my best poker accomplishment (that I have only made one deposit and I have been playing with it and building it up for about 9 months). I have won or placed in the top 5 or so of a bunch of smaller buyin tourneys, but my biggest single win is $1080 from a $22 180 man SnG. No big deal I know, but I am sure my biggest win is still to come. And, I am looking forward to it...

Hola!
My name is Gary and i'm currently going to shippensburg university in Pennsylvania, but i live in Maryland. I am studying geoenvironmental studies and criminal justice. I have been playing poker for 3 years now, primarily holdem and omaha, but i find myself drifting to stud more and more these days. My biggest poker accomplishments were winning a small-field 50 dollar buy-in on fulltilt worth 725 and finishing second in a 20 dollar buy-in on pokerroom worth $780. When i first started out playing a couple of years ago i built my bankroll up to 1280 in a couple of months and lost 1200 in one day. I like to think i have a little more control now. Peace

Best poker acomplishment? How long been playing? Been playing since 01, started seriously on the internet in 03. Won a live $100 tourney in AC for a $6K+ cash. Third in a party 30+3 multi. Made the majority of my bankroll working up the SNGs. Missed qualifying for PPM3 in '03 by 3 places - that was 9 hours wasted.

Age: 29 (30 soon)

Residence: Atlanta, GA

Married for almost two years now, no kids.

Job: I am in sales.

Education: Broadcasting and Public Relations double major from Georgia Southern Univ.

Favorite Movie(s): Swingers, The Cable Guy, Office Space, Rocket Gibraltar, Hope and Glory, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and High Fidelity.

Music: Sublime, Less Than Jake (old), Johnny Cash, DMB, Pearl Jam, Sunny Day Real Estate and Saves the Day.

Poker: I've been playing recreationally for many years but haven't gotten serious about it until 2 1/2 years ago. -I'm 43, grew up in Minneapolis, living in CO for the last 15 years (big Vikings fan)
-Married, 2 grown kids (both boys) out of the house (22 & 19) both aspiring poker players
-IT Consultant by day - poker player whenever I'm not doing chores or working
-Former Stock Market fanatic, Horse Racing fanatic, and Blackjack fanatic

I started playing poker in July '03. Since then I've won 7 MTTs with 200+ Entrants and cashed over $1K 17 times - mostly in $20-$40 buy-ins. Biggest accomplishment was winning a $12K package to the Borgata Poker Open last summer (met Sirio11 there). I'm playing in more $50-200 buy-ins now and hope to score several 5 digit payouts in 2006.
