yeah; looks like it's gonna be a daily routine of checking different forums 3 times a day (morn/afternoon/middle of night) for posts about other places doing pre-orders

[/ QUOTE ]

What forums?

Also, I know its small money compared to this but my friend was mentioning buying World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Collector's Edition and reselling it later. Does anyone think its worth doing?

Absolutely not. While WoW has a huge player base, who is going to pay over retail for an expansion pack that Blizzard just stamps out the dvd? I would assume that some areas might have an intial shortage of games for a week, but the 2nd shipment will satisfy evreyone...this is of course if they actually even sell out when it releases.

I don't see how buying any comp software, and sitting on it is going to make your friend any cash. Something like the PS3 is totally different.

edit: Hmmm it seems like some ppl are buying them up to resale. Having been into mmorpgs since EQ I just dont see ppl making a killing on reselling these things, but it appears some ppl think they will.

For most people, it's a riskless proposition. It took me a few phone calls and a 15 drive to EB Games to score a unit. If it doesn't sell for a nice markup, then I will just return it to the store for a refund or sell it for about retail. No biggie. Plus, I like the entrepreneurial spirit of the endevor so it's not 'work' for me at all.

Any chance my local EB Games will have any units left tomorrow? I plan on calling them as soon as they open and finding out.

No, but doesnt cost you anything to call.

There is no need for a guide. Buy something cheaper than the price it's being sold for on ebay and post an auction for it. When you get the payment from the buyer, ship it. The end.
