Assuming a standard deviation of around 50BB/100 (fairly typical I think for a good 6-max NL player), 95% confidence interval for his winrate on that sample size would be 4.5-14.6 BB/100 (99% confidence would be 3-16.2).

So he's most probably a good winner, but maybe on a good run based on the comments.

It's hard to imagine him being bad with those stats but 38k hands is nothing. At 5/10NL I'm over 10PTBB/100 over 30k+ hands since PP changed the tables names (so they appear differently on Pokertracker) and I suck.

i only know him $25/50 10 handed, he is probably a small-med winner in that game.
